Find Moab on your Utah Map (South East Quadrant). Drive North approximate 6 miles North one US 191 to the marked Park entrance.

This was our first exploratory trip into one of the Canyon Country National Parks around Moab.  The park offers a variety of touring choices for visitors, depending upon the amount of time they have available.  We only had a couple of hours so we made a quick road tour up to the Windows Section and back.  For the camper/hiker, there are a sufficient number of trails that would provide activities for several days.  Obviously, we did not see more than a couple of the arches and only trekked the short 1/4 mile to the base of Double Arch.  But we will be back as this will be the first album of many from this enchanting country.

On the map you can see the excellent road between the visitor's center and the Windows area.  Several of the formations and arches pictured in the album are identified on the map.

Enjoy,

Trekker
