Hi Karen,
Just a quick note to let you know that in the
rush this morning I had only sent the email out to "the cousins" and
my children (since I was answering a letter to our daughter). I was
thinking that maybe Ed, Jim, John or Dee Dee might have some other folklore
from Emil. I also hoped that my brothers might have heard dad talk about
the origin of the name and might be able to clear up this old man's memory.
I didn't mean to snub Kris or Kent.
Our son is Daryl and he lives in Boulder.
Our daughter is Natalie and she lives in
Philadelphia.
She is in the travel industry too, working
for a large corporate travel agency that was just sold to American Express.
I believe that she is concerned about the effect the sale may have on her
department (Information Technology).
It looks like today's letter is bringing in
lots of response so I will try to summarize all of the information and spam it
out to everyone. But I think that Yellow Stone sounds like an
interesting idea - maybe that could be next years reunion??????
Sharon was planning on staying in GJ for the
month but I had the feeling that she might not as requests were coming in for
her to travel to the four corners of the globe, so to speak. She might
go to Europe with Natalie, or go spend some time with Daryl and then we have a
grandson's birthday in Sept (which I think I will have to miss). So much
to do and so little time - we certainly envy those of you who have retired.
Well I have a lot to do so I better run - I
promise to write more soon,
Rog
