Letter to Margo - May 18, '01
Hi Margo,
Nice to hear from you, at last we finally hear from a sensable person located in Calif. I'm glad to hear that B is happy being in the middle, that must mean that he is extremely contented, as well as being excessively self delusional. He'll be just fine as long as he remembers to stand uphill from me.
What is the deal with his arm, this was the first we heard about it. If it has anything to do with your adventurous indoor activities, I don't want to hear about it.
For an ol' guy, B's memory is fair. Yes, Mike and Susan both went down to the bottom of the canyon. They took a group of Japanees exchange students - amazing. They went to Havasu Canyon which is part of the Havasupai Indian reservation. They only get within 4 miles of the river and I don't think that it is quite as rugged of a trip as most of the other trails down to the Colorado. I think I will give it a try this fall. Havasu has several well know falls, and if you stay long enough, you can go on down to the river.
Well I just heard thunder which means that I have to turn off the computers. I am sure that Sharon or I will get to the rest of your questions soon.
Oh ya, quickly, Sharon doesn't do any thing out in the sun. She can not take the heat, so I trek alone.
Love from us,
Rog
